“Jordan is home to some of the kindest, most welcoming people that I've ever met and it's been my honor to introduce these people to my audiences through the podcast that you're listening to right now, stories with publications, or through my work on the ground, traveling to Jordan with groups and meeting people face to face.”

Join Me In Jordan This May

This May, I’m running a 10-day adventure to Jordan with a small group of curious travelers, visiting incredible places like Petra, the ancient Nabataean capital city, Amman, the modern capital, Wadi Rum, the otherworldly desert on the southern border, and the Dead Sea, the lowest point on Earth.

We’ll meet people working and living in Jordan today like the entrepreneur-turned-farmer who’s working on saving Jordan’s soil, the Middle East’s first female olive oil sommelier, the renowned calligrapher who re-designed Jordanian currency, and more.

Jordan’s tourism community was devastated in 2023 and 2024, when most travelers canceled their plans due to safety concerns. Sadly, these concerns do not match the reality on the ground. Jordan is safe, as it has always been, but its tourism communities are struggling to make ends meet.

I’ve traveled to Jordan twice in 2024: first in February on a media trip, then in October to lead a group. Both times, I heard from many people in the tourism community how challenging this time has been for them.

Your trip now can make a difference to help someone’s family in Jordan earn a much-needed livelihood.

Throughout February, you can save $150 off your booking by using code GOINGPLACESFEB when you join our trip. The code expires on Fri, Feb 28.
